Supposing you live in Rwanda, have a Rwanda passport and are going to Russia, then what? In that case you cannot do without an entry Russia visa.

Where in Rwanda to get for a Russia visa?

 You’re a chance to get it in Rwanda itself. For doing that, get in touch with the embassy of Russia in Kigali for being allowed to get in Russia.

As people arrive into our country with various purposes, their visas also vary. Everyone’s area is different: diplomatic or official service, transit, temporary residence in the country or ordinary visit. Thus visas differ. The last one is asked the most. On the plus side, to travel with an ordinary visa means one of these ways: business, work, humanitarian, tourist, student, refugee and resident (getting of citizenship).

Do you personally need a Russia visa when going to Russia?

Answer for the Rwandan citizens and Rwanda passport holders: yes, absolutely! Until there is no free regime for Rwandans for travelling across Russia without a visa, you must be given visas for a travel to our country.

Russia visa for Rwanda passport holders.

You, those lucky Rwandans who have an ordinary Rwanda passport, can be given an ordinary visa in the Russia embassy. Those of you who have a temporary resident permit or a residence one, an official or diplomatic passport, a transit permit, you can obtain corresponding visas: temporary resident, permanent resident, official, diplomatic, or transit.

Getting a Russia tourist visa (Invitation. Confirmation)

Hold a Rwanda passport? Going to enter our country as a tourist? You just need a tourist visa (see above, where to go for).

At first contact any tourist agency or company (keep in mind that the selected one should be authorized). Such an agency can invite you officially with a document called "Voucher and Confirmation" (or simply invitation). This paper must indicate the agency, your personal data, it must also say where, when and how many times you‘re going to travel. The embassy questions may also be about the reservation in the hotel, about your health insurance policy or tickets, and so on.

A tourist Russian visa is given for the period up to 30 days and can be single-entry or double-entry.

Russia business visa for citizens of Rwanda.

If you’re a Rwandese businessman or you’ve just got commercial plans when going to Russia, you would ask a business visa.

• Make a business invitation to enter Russia (in advance).
• Contact the embassy.

As distinct from a tourist invitation, a business invitation is issued not by a travel agency, but by the Federal Migration Department (FMS).

You can also contact the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and write an application on your behalf. The resolution of the ministry will be sent to the embassy of Russia. Such a way can be used by you, when you’re going to participate in some official events, such as international conferences, economic forums, socio-political or science meetings.

Such a kind of visa can be given to you for three months, if you go one time to Russia; or for on year, if you come here many times.
