Do you need a visa?

Unfortunately, for citizens of Germany, a visa regime has been introduced and you will need to apply to the Russian embassy or consulate in order to obtain a visa. You will be asked to provide an invitation and fill out a form. After filling out the form, you need to pay a consular fee.

How do you get an invitation?

The invitation is sent by the inviting party. You can send it to your relatives or friends. If you are a tourist, this will be done by your travel company and will issue an invitation for you.

What kind of visa do you need?

You can choose one of these visas:

  1. Tourist - you are a tourist and you are interested to visit Russia, take a look at its beauty and walk through tourist places, see the Kremlin and other sights. In order to receive it you must provide your passport details and documents about your place of residence. Its validity period is 1 to 30 days.  
  2. Business - you need to come to the negotiations or to find new business partners. With a business visa, everything will be much more complicated than with a tourist visa. To receive it, your invitation must be written by a legal entity. Registration will take place in the office of the Federal Migration Service
